hello I'm good at Lieutenant Colonel will be but Islam I was at a lien commander of the panther Battalion I'm the person who ensures that all the telling operations are going to movie and that leadership being well-managed hello I'm Cadet major Tasman Parvin IMDb - officer of the panther Battalion my job is to oversee my stuff we're doing their best to keep the program functioning on the training and operations search for the Panther Battalion my job is basically the mini manager of the Battalion I helped create events and make sure they go smoothly and plan everything basically such as this video now we will be answering your guys's questions you've sent in about Jared TC our first few questions are what is there to see what does it stand for and what do we do stand for junior Reserve officer training Corps as our main mission is to motivate young people to become they're citizens we do many activities to improve ourselves mentally and physically example if you join the class we will help improve your leadership skills improve your responsibilities as well as increase your respectfulness and much more do we have to wear uniforms all the time no we do not have to wear uniforms all the time we only wear it once a week while the rest of the week is reserved for lessons PT or even drill do we have to wear uniforms at yes it is a grade you do have to wear the uniform but know that when you wear the uniforms it's like a sign of leadership and representation of Jared TC so I'm other people even staff when you walk around a lake look up to you do we have to pay for uniform no but if do lose it yes you do have to pay for the uniform our next question is do you have to go into the military if you join ROTC there is no military obligation if you join ROTC our mission is to make you a better citizen but if you do have interest in enlisting After High School we have many recruiters that come in and can help you out are there any college opportunities in jrtc there are by taking a class you will learn and improve on many things that will better prepare you for college they're also scholarships that you can earn for college by being in Authority see if you become interested in it in the future our next question is how long are the classes d.c. is a normal class. It appears on your schedule but we do different things depending on the day some days are lessons other days are PT physical training and we do a lot of things outside of school as all also we do things such as summer camps District showcases and ceremonies these things obviously take part of our TC and they're really fun activities do you do outside of school another question we've received is do we do anything physical in ROTC yes we do weekly PT which is as every Friday and we do physical training you're so basic gym class the main difference between our gym class in our regular gym class at the high school is we have special equipment that we have recently just got such as electrical I'm working on getting a treadmill you have dumbbells things like that and we do our physical activity I once a week on Friday and this PT count towards your gym credit if you choose to stay in our to see for two years another good question received this can jrtc help with accomplishing High School yeah so like I said before two years of Jerry's jrtc, gem credit which is needed for you to graduate and can help with your community service requirement which is also needed for graduation you may not know this but you need 20 hours in order to graduate high school and personally Jarrett AC offers so many community service opportunities that I was able to finish my requirement in just my freshman year we offer so many after-school activities and it shouldn't be an issue if you join the program to finish your requirement and go beyond that another question you guys. This is is it true that students run the program yes students run the operations of this whole program we plan things such as events like this being able to recruit you guys going over to wall field trips ceremonies anything basically within this program we do help have helped with our instructors and they do facilitate but it is with that being said you guys also is it true that a student / Cadet can tell me what to do technically yes you will have students who outrank you by no means is that abuse of power they're basically just facilitate using their Leisure and Leadership skills to help you become a better student and person and to refill the responsibility of making the Battalion as best I can as it can be does jrtc go on any field trips yes we you plan free field trips usually towards the end of a semester I remember two years ago we went to Ohio to an air base that was pretty cool we went to the Dixie race track in Detroit for the most part but that's do enjoy we also serve them lunch in between I guess they really like that we do plan for even more fun field trips when the weather is nice like for example we put we're planning one year to go to CJ Barrymore's so the next question is do we get to use the rifles yes you will get to use the rifles when we are drilling to practice rifle movements you can also join the Marksmanship team where you will receive gun safety training first and then pack rifle Marksmanship and range firing activities with air rifles I'll question you guys ask this is is is it true that the instructors use when your face I'm probably I'm thinking that you guys are probably imagining in movies and TV shows with a drill sergeant yells directly in your faces information in my four years of dairy to see that's never happened and I don't think it ever has but I will say the instructors are very nice and they do push you to become the version of yourself if they see potential in you whichever I know everyone does they will push they will push you to bring that potential out and they will make you the best person you can be I personally wouldn't be in this position if it wasn't for them for seeing something in me and for pushing me to do this job and now I love it and I've been in the program all four years the next question is what do you like about your TC and how long have you been in it I've been in jail AC for all four years of high school I enjoyed your PC because it's like being part of a big family I also greatly improve my leadership and public speaking skills I've been part of this program for all four years of my high school in my most favorite thing about Charity she has to be the activities and events for example I liked helping out the cadets at the Jersey summer camp I also got to stay at U of M Ann Arbor for 3 days and two nights to trained for my staff position I've also joined the Jersey drill competition at cazztek even held one here at Centerline to buy definitely didn't think I'd be part of that during high school but it was definitely worth the experience and I would like for all the cadets to experience the same things through this program I've been in jail to see all four years and I attend first Wayne's ROTC thinking I was only going to do the first two years for my gym credit and then leave but I enjoyed the program so much that I decided to stay all four years and I don't regret it the things I loved about her to see is just the fact that I learned so much such as public speaking and planning and responsibilities that things I will need outside of school whether it's with work or home and I've also gained such a close friendship with instructors and the other Cadets like this whole program is a whole close-knit family and we become so close with one another besides regardless of grade level and age thank you all for watching and sending in your questions hopefully we dance all of them up on the screen right now you guys can see our social media Pages as well as my contact information feel free to reach out if you have any other questions about Jared Cc or about high school in general and please do follow up social media you guys can keep up with what's going on in the program and we hope to see you guys next year
